Street Photo
Documenting people in their daily environment is not easy: it requires patience, hard work and sometimes even a little courage to be able to approach and photograph perfect strangers. In fact, one of the main ingredients of Street Photography is the element of surprise when the camera captures a decisive moment.
Street photography aims to capture daily life, in public places and especially in urban landscapes. It is usually a form of spontaneous photography, when the person is not aware of being photographed, which creates more realistic and powerful images. Its topic tends to be human and recognizable, focusing on unique facial expressions of “ordinary” people, or on particular environments created for particular situations. These photos are intended to solicit the viewer. It can be questioned whether street photography represents reality or not, but I’m sure that it certainly represents my reality as a photographer.
